Groomer's report for Kootenai County

Dale Adickes Groomer Board  (208) 661-4718

Idaho State Snowmobile Registration numbers are down in

area 28 (Kootenai County).  This means less funds available

for grooming trails.

Check and make sure you designate area 28 if you want your

registration credited to Kootenai County.

Groomer Report   1/23/2012

Groomers are out, leaving Fernan, Fourth of July, and Bunco almost

daily.

We are still trying to open up all trails, as we just started grooming last

Wednesday, because of lack of snow. One groomer was broke down last

Thursday, hydraulic hose broke, had to leave groomer out on trail overnight.

Didn't get the grooming done that we wanted to on the Bunco end of the

system. Most trails should be groomed up by the weekend, barring any

more breakdowns, so be patient.

Bunco is being plowed by the logger that is working on the upper by-pass,

so don't think that we groomed all the snow off the road, as was reported,

and complained about by some uninformed snowmobiler.

The groomer operators work long hours and many days to make your riding

as comfortable as possible, so give them a wave when you see them out

on the trail.
